Ken Banks
Ken Banks, founder of kiwanja.net and FrontlineSMS, devotes himself to the application of mobile technology for positive social and environmental change in the developing world, and has spent the last 17 years working on projects in Africa. Ken graduated from Sussex University with honours in Social Anthropology with Development Studies, and was awarded a Stanford University Reuters Digital Vision Fellowship in 2006, and named a Pop!Tech Social Innovation Fellow in 2008.

Jan is an Executive Creative Director of Global Insights at frog design Shanghai where he specializes in the holistic user experience. His telecoms industry roles include 10 years with Nokia in Japan as Principal Scientist in Tokyo Research Center, and he spent the last year as design strategist the Nokia advanced design studio Los Angeles. He is a frequent keynote speaker on design and design strategy at events ranging from design conferences, governmental & C-level events through to TED.

Menekse Gencer is the founder of mPay Connect Consulting and the Mobile Payment Series (TM). A renowned expert on mobile money, Menekse advises banks, development agencies, mobile operators, and third parties interested in starting or leveraging mobile money services. Her work has been highlighted in various conferences from the World Economic Forum to seminars at the US State Department.

Witney is the President of Schneidman & Associates International, an emerging markets consulting group that focuses on investments in Africa. Witney served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs under President Clinton and Co-Chair of the Obama Africa Transition Team.
Raina Kumra
As a digital strategy and design consultant over the past decade, Raina has helped brands and ideas get their messages out in innovative and fitting ways, while instilling positive messaging and employing design thinking. She is currently leading innovative e-diplomacy efforts at the U.S. State Department. She previously led the interactive department at Wieden+Kennedy NY as Director of Digital Strategies. She studied Film at Boston University, Interactive Design & Technology at New York University, and Urban Studies and Architecture at the Harvard Design School.
