FrontlineSMS:Credit is excited to announce that our software product, PaymentView, is now out in beta and available for use in Kenya. PaymentView is a free and open source software application that allows the user to send, receive, and manage mobile money transactions using a laptop and a 3G modem. PaymentView tracks all of the payments you send and receive, meaning that you have access to real-time data about your transactions that can easily be exported as a .csv file for financial reporting or further analysis. In addition, PaymentView helps you to manage short-term credit, installment payment plans, or accounts receivable. Currently, PaymentView is configured to work with M-PESA in Kenya. (NOTE: With a bit of software development, PaymentView can be configured to work with any SMS or STK-based payment system. Stay tuned for a release that supports USSD, coming soon)

FrontlineSMS:Credit is a project of FrontlineSMS, which builds and distributes the FrontlineSMS platform, open-source SMS-messaging software that enables users to send, receive and manage SMS over a mobile network. The software works without Internet access, is easy to set up, simple to operate and free (users only pay for the messages they send). PaymentView is an extension to this SMS platform, meaning that you can not only track your mobile transactions but can also easily communicate with your clients via SMS through group messaging, auto-responses, and other notifications.

At present, PaymentView is not a full release but a 'beta' release, which means it is in a testing stage of development.
